Our Client is currently searching for a Project Accounting / Cost Analyst to join its Projects Group in Vancouver. This 12-month contract role will support multiple projects across a diverse project portfolio, providing project accounting and cost control support within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will bring a confident, proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization. 

Pay Rate: $35-40/hour 

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project accounting and cost control functions across multiple projects within the company's project portfolio

  • Monitor, track, and analyze project costs, forecasts, and financial performance

  • Prepare cost reports, variance analysis, and financial summaries for project and leadership teams

  • Partner with engineering, procurement, and construction stakeholders to support financial governance

  • Support financial processes during the company’s transition and ongoing use of project systems, including Unifier and SAP

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project accounting and cost control processes
Qualifications
  • Experience working within an owner’s team environment or with an EPC or EPCM organization, supporting project accounting and/or project controls

  • Strong leadership presence with an assertive, proactive communication style

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization, reporting technically to one leader and operationally to another

  • CPA designation not required; actively working toward CPA is an asset

  • Experience with Unifier is an asset; not required

  • Exposure to SAP or ERP systems is beneficial

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced project environment
