We are hiring a Director of IT for our Burnaby client. Leading a small IT Team, the Director is responsible for aligning IT strategy to business objectives.

About The Opportunity
The Director of IT is responsible for leading a small team, overseas the organizations’ technology infrastructure and systems. The Director of IT will lead strategy and align to business goals. Strong leadership experience, the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and successful implementation and delivery of projects are required. 

About The Position
  • Provides leadership for a small IT Team, ownership for growth, training, and development.
  • Designs and implements IT strategies and infrastructure.
  • Provides guidance and strategic solutions, recommendations, and planning for projects.
  • Manages and maintains hardware and software, including servers, workstations, and enterprise applications.
  • Manages compliance and cybersecurity programs.
  • Planning and managing system and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Budgeting and financial forecasting provides reporting and presents to leadership and executive team.
  • License, storage, and records management.
  • Vendor management.
  • On occasion, travel may be required.
 The Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience, 5+ years of leadership experience is required.
  • Prior experience with ERP system implementations is an asset.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Experience in analysis, system implementations, networks, hardware/software is required.
  • Proven ability to align IT strategy to business objectives and company culture.
  • Prior experience developing team members, fostering growth, ownership, and accountability.
  • The ability to deliver project and meet deadlines, managing project teams and meeting objectives.
Compensation 
  • Annual salary $130,000 - $150,000 doe.
