Proposal Specialist

Our global client is seeking a detail-oriented Proposal Specialist to join their Tampa-based civil operations team. This role is well suited for a marketing professional who thrives at the intersection of strategy, design, and collaboration, leading high-impact proposal pursuits from concept through submission.

• Compensation: $95,000–$110,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Translate proposal vision and strategy into compelling, brand-compliant layouts using InDesign
  
  
• Lead proposal efforts from kickoff through submission, including planning meetings and schedules
  
  
• Develop and manage proposal responsibility matrices, outlines, and timelines
  
  
• Create and evaluate proposal narratives for relevance, clarity, and compliance
  
  
• Collaborate with internal and remote stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of content
  
  
• Produce high-quality graphics and visual content through strategic image selection and design
  
  
• Proofread, edit, and refine content to ensure error-free, compliant submissions with a consistent voice
  
  
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance pursuit efficiency
  
  
• Mentor proposal coordinators on proposal best practices and technical layout skills
  
  
• Coordinate interview materials, presentations, and preparation workshops as required

Qualifications

• Postsecondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  
  
• 5+ years of progressive experience as a Proposal Coordinator or Proposal Specialist
  
  
• Strong experience managing and writing sections of complex proposals
  
  
• Advanced InDesign skills and strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint)
  
  
• Solid understanding of proposal fundamentals, best practices, and pursuit strategy
  
  
• Experience within the A/E/C industry (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) is highly preferred
  
  
• Strong business acumen with knowledge of construction processes, delivery models, and contract types
  
  
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work diplomatically across teams
  
  
• APMP Foundation, CPSM, SMPS, or equivalent certification is considered an asset
