Joint Venture Audit Consultant

Our client, a leading professional services firm, is seeking a Joint-Venture Auditor! This will be a fully remote, 6–12 month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced audit professional with a production accounting background to contribute to joint-venture and vendor audits in the oil & gas sector while working remotely.

• Compensation: $72-$75 an hour

 Responsibilities

• Perform joint-venture and vendor audits across oil & gas operations
• Conduct contract compliance audits and review invoices under commercial models such as Time & Material, Cost Reimbursable, Cost Plus, and Unit Price
• Validate invoice charges and supporting documentation
• Review contracts, assess financial and commercial risks, and develop audit programs/procedures to address identified risks
• Analyze AR, AP, PPE, cash management, and production accounting data
• Utilize analytical tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and Python (asset)
• Communicate audit requests, findings, and requirements with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of joint-venture auditing experience
• Strong production accounting background with AR, AP, PPE, and cash management experience
• Oil & gas industry experience required
• Consulting or professional services experience considered an asset
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple audits concurrently
