The Opportunity
The ERP / Accounting Associate is a key member of the finance team and plays an important role across day-to-day accounting, payroll, and systems support. In addition to core accounting and payroll responsibilities, this role will support the coordination and implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, offering hands-on exposure to systems improvement and process optimization. The Opportunity
The ERP / Accounting Associate is a key member of the finance team and plays an important role across day-to-day accounting, payroll, and systems support. Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Support
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment posting, and collections
- Perform daily bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare internal accounting reports
- Process expense reports, petty cash, and respond to vendor and customer inquiries
- Provide ad hoc financial and administrative support to the CFO
- Assist with ERP data migration, cleansing, validation, and testing
- Review data synchronization and identify inconsistencies or errors
- Document processes, provide basic user support, and liaise with IT partners or external consultants
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the ERP environment
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll in compliance with federal and provincial regulations
- Maintain payroll records, manage benefits administration, and prepare pay stubs and T4s
- Reconcile payroll accounts, investigate discrepancies, and stay current on payroll legislation
Qualifications & Experience
- 5-7+ years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance support role, including payroll processing
- Experience with accounting software; exposure to ERP systems or ERP implementations is a strong asset
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of Canadian accounting standards (ASPE) and payroll legislation
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, team-first mindset
- Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
