Are you a professional, experienced and self-starting Maintenance Technician? Are you looking to join a strong property management team and work within a diverse portfolio to continue providing excellent service? Then our client is looking for you! 

Our client is a leading property management company with a strong portfolio of commercial and residential properties, this position would be for a multi-building residential property located in Nanaimo.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled, preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance as directed.
  • Complete maintenance repairs on a timely basis to ensure resident satisfaction and safety following priority guidelines;
  • Complete general maintenance in garages and parking lots, mechanical rooms, on rooftops and in other common areas;
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all building mechanical systems (i.e., pumps, life safety systems, HVAC, BMS, and swimming pool)
  • Ensuring all tools and cleaning supplies are maintained and stocked.
  • Coordinate and supervise trades workers such as painters, electrician, plumbers, and landscapers throughout the process.
  • Responsible for cleaning duties, including litter pick-up, sweeping, shoveling as needed.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of general maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong communicator with a team player mindset
  • Familiarity with emails, tablet, and software usage for potential work orders is preferred
