Senior Buyer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join a well-established manufacturing organization. This role is critical to ensuring the timely, cost-effective procurement of materials while supporting operational efficiency and business growth. The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on procurement experience from a current manufacturing environment, strong analytical capability, and a proactive, strategic mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead senior-level procurement activities for raw materials, and components in a manufacturing setting
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to achieve best value
• Analyze purchasing data, market trends, and supplier performance to support informed decision-making
• Collaborate closely with operations, planning, and finance teams
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function

Qualifications and Experience

• Senior-level procurement experience within a manufacturing environment is required
• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, or a related field
• Strong computer skills with a demonstrated ability in data analysis and analytics
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel or similar analytical tools
• Proven negotiation skills and supplier relationship management experience
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
