Position Overview The Vendor Sales Representative is responsible for sourcing, growing, and managing vendor relationships to drive new lease business. The individual will serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and customers, coordinating leasing applications from start to finish and providing exceptional service throughout the process.

This role begins with a salary + performance, transitioning into a commission-based structure once lease volumes grow (typically 24-36 months). It offers significant long-term earning potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agricultural equipment dealers and commercial vendors.
  • Source new leasing opportunities through vendor accounts and direct customer interactions.
  • Educate vendors on leasing programs, tools, and credit processes.
  • Act as a single point of contact for vendors and lessees throughout the lease process.
  • Collect and complete lease applications; ensure accurate documentation.
  • Submit applications to credit and follow up as needed.
  • Prepare lease agreements via DocuSign, email, Xpresspost, or in-person.
  • Coordinate delivery, signing, and return of lease documentation.
  • Confirm insurance coverage, banking info, and identity verification.
  • Track commissions and prepare monthly commission statements.
  • Travel to vendor locations across the Prairie provinces.
  • Attend trade shows, dealer events, and industry functions.
Typical Lease Workflow
  • Source leasing opportunities from vendors or direct inquiries.
  • Collect application details and create a customer file.
  • Submit the application to the credit for review.
  • Prepare documents once approved.
  • Coordinate delivery and return of executed documents and required supporting information.
  • Finalize files and submit commission statement.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in commerce, business, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Strong financial literacy, including principal/interest calculations and amortization.
  • Experience in leasing, lending, ag equipment sales, or vendor-based selling is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, T-Value, and ability to learn in-house software.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Motivated, entrepreneurial, and driven to grow a book of business.
  • Willingness to travel across the Prairie provinces.
Compensation & Earning Potential
  • Base salary + performance to start.
  • Transition to commission-based compensation as volumes grow.
  • High-performing representatives can expect $150,000–$250,000+ annually.
  • Performance/commission paid as a percentage of profit per lease.
  • Individual is responsible for travel costs, excluding hotels required for trade shows.
  • Office workspace and desktop computer provided (cell phone and laptop are the individual's responsibility).
