Accounts Payable Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a fast-paced, growing organization in the renewable energy sector. This role is based in downtown Calgary and offers a hybrid work model.

What You’ll Do

• Process vendor invoices across multiple entities with accuracy and efficiency
• Enter and route bills for approval to teams across various locations
• Verify invoices against purchase orders
• Prepare, print, and distribute cheques 
• Upload company credit card transactions into the accounting system
• Handle vendor inquiries and support internal staff regarding payments
• Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests
• Maintain organized digital and physical AP filing systems
• Support journal entry preparation, including intercompany transactions
• Maintain and update vendor and system records
• Contribute to ongoing process documentation and improvements
• Jump in to support the broader accounting team as needed

Requirements

• Accounting degree or diploma preferred
• 2+ years of recent accounting or AP experience
• Experience working in a multi-entity or complex environment is required 
• Advanced Excel skills and accurate data entry abilities
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Positive attitude, dependable, and a team player
