Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong administrative and litigation support, including organizing records, preparing and formatting court materials, assembling briefs, and maintaining well-organized files
- Assist with document preparation and management across a broad litigation practice
- Support matters in the following practice areas:
- Personal Injury (approximately 50% of the practice)
- Civil and insurance litigation, including large loss claims
- Corporate and commercial disputes
- Shareholder matters
- Complex debt recovery
- Estate litigation
- Employment and construction lien matters
- Manage incoming calls professionally and assist with intake as required
- Over time, take on additional responsibilities and more complex work as skills and interests develop
- Exceptional attention to detail with a habit of double-checking work
- Strong proficiency in MS Word, including advanced formatting and document preparation
- Confidence working with PDFs, including electronic court filing, hyperlinking, tabbing, and document organization
- Highly organized, tech-savvy, and able to manage multiple files and workflows efficiently
- Professional and polished phone manner, with sound judgment when screening calls
- Adaptable, capable, and receptive to constructive feedback
- Comfortable taking precise direction, including dictated punctuation
- In-office position, 37.5 hours per week (1-hour lunch) with early Fridays!
