About the Opportunity
This is a full-time, permanent role for a senior-level paralegal who specializes in banking and finance transactions. Due to high workflow demand, the team requires someone who can step into the role seamlessly, with strong transactional experience and minimal need for supervision. Training will be limited to internal procedures, making this a perfect opportunity for a seasoned paralegal seeking both independence and an engaging workload.

About the Position
The Senior Banking Paralegal will be part of a pooled paralegal structure, where work is assigned based on specialization. You will independently manage banking and finance files from start to finish, including preparation of security documents, coordination of loan closings, and registration of documents with the Land Title Office. The position requires frequent communication with clients, solicitors, financial institutions, and other external stakeholders. A high degree of accuracy, organization, and self-direction is essential. Requirements
Must Haves:
  • Minimum 5 years of banking/finance paralegal experience
  • Paralegal diploma
  • 3 years of experience in a reputable law firm in a similar role
Technical Requirements:
  • Strong experience with real estate financing transactions (lender and borrower)
  • Preparation of mortgages and related security documentation
  • Reviewing contracts, commitment letters, and security packages
  • Ability to prioritize work and operate independently with minimal oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, myLTSA, and common real estate–related software
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience with commercial real estate purchases and sales
  • Experience with land assembly or subdivision files
  • Familiarity with LOTA and PTT reporting requirements
Compensation
A competitive compensation package is offered, including:
