IT General Controls (ITGC) Testing Specialist

Our client is seeking an experienced IT General Controls (ITGC) Testing Specialist to support a short-term engagement focused on evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of key IT controls.

About the Role

• Duration: 4 weeks
• Start: January 5th
• Location: Calgary on-site or remote

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform testing of ITGCs across areas such as access management, change management, IT operations, and system development.
• Document test procedures, results, and exceptions clearly and accurately.
• Work closely with client stakeholders to obtain evidence and clarify control activities.
• Prepare concise reports and communicate findings promptly.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience testing ITGCs (e.g., as part of SOX, audit, or internal controls engagements).
• Strong understanding of common IT environments and control frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight timelines.
