The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with bank reconciliations or related accounting functions, strong technical proficiency—particularly in Excel—and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role is well-suited for an individual who thrives on ensuring data integrity, maintaining clear financial records, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to support seamless financial reporting.

Note:  This is a two-month contract with the potential of extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and support bank reconciliation activities for our client, ensuring timely and accurate alignment of financial records and identifying discrepancies for resolution.
  • Review financial data with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal controls.
  • Assist with general accounting functions such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end processes.
  • Maintain organized documentation and audit-ready records to support compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize Excel to prepare schedules, analyze data, build reports, and support financial decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to obtain required information, clarify discrepancies, and ensure smooth financial workflow.
  • Support the use and potential implementation of financial systems such as YARDI or Kyriba, including data entry, report generation, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple accounts and tasks to meet strict deadlines, particularly during month-end or high-volume periods.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and recommending solutions.

Qualifications:
Must-Haves
  • Experience in bank reconciliation or related accounting operations.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data validation, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when reviewing and interpreting financial data.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience with YARDI and/or Kyriba financial systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts, balance competing priorities, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Previous experience in an accounting, finance, or administrative support role in a high-volume environment.
