What you will do:
- Market and manage Surety accounts, focusing on mining reclamation bonds, performance bonds, and contractor bonding projects.
- Lead the structuring of bonds, working closely with clients to ensure all contractual and regulatory requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, underwriters, and industry professionals built on trust and expertise.
- Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments on client portfolios to support bond approvals and ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate with underwriters and legal teams to properly structure bonds, contracts, and indemnity agreements.
- Guide junior brokers through complex technical processes, mentoring and supporting their professional development.
- Monitor industry regulations and advise clients on bond eligibility, compliance, and industry best practices.
- Assist with renewal processes, receivables management, and tracking of client portfolios.
- Identify and target prospective clients and industry opportunities through strategic research and networking.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, management, and underwriting teams.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in surety - either as a broker or underwriter
- Strong financial acumen with proficiency in analyzing financial statements and conducting credit risk assessments.
- Proven experience working with reclamation, performance, or construction bonds.
- Valid RIBO license or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently within a lean team structure.
