About The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to join a highly experienced litigation team where mentorship and professional development are encouraged. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of civil litigation matters and have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to files from start to finish. There is no billable target for this role, allowing focus on providing high-quality support and managing files effectively.

About The Position
Reporting within the litigation department, the Paralegal will support a variety of civil litigation files, primarily in estate law, but also including employment, real property, business, commercial, and construction disputes. Duties include:
  • Drafting letters, pleadings, applications, and other court documents
  • Interacting professionally with other offices and the court, including setting trials and discoveries
  • Preparing, listing, and organizing required documents
  • Conducting witness interviews
  • Performing administrative tasks, including file organization, opening and closing files, maintaining a bring-forward system, and preparing invoices
  • Collaborating with experienced litigation paralegals for guidance and mentorship
The Requirements
Must-Haves:
  • Paralegal Diploma or Certificate
  • Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience, with estate litigation a significant component
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience with employment or real property litigation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, legal accounting software, and litigation file management
  • Exposure to business, commercial, or construction disputes
Compensation
  • Salary: $65,000 – $80,000, based on experience
  • 3 weeks vacation
