About our client
Our client has been operating in the Vancouver Lower Mainland for close to 40 years specialising in commercial warehouse and storage facility projects including new construction, tenant improvements and maintenance. They work with some of Canada and Vancouver’s most respected general contractors and work with some large international clients.

About the opportunity
This is a great opportunity for a Junior Project Manager/Estimator to gain experience working on a mix of large scale industrial and commercial projects. The project types will include warehouses, cold storage facilities, industrial storage facilities and interior fit outs for reputable international clients.

About the position
In this role your duties will be as follows:
  • Collaborate with clients, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop project plans.
  • Conduct detailed site visits and assessments to determine project scope and identify potential challenges.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive project cost estimates, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.
  • Create comprehensive project proposals and bid packages for client submission.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring effective cost control and adherence to financial targets.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Schedule and organize project activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to project timelines.
  • Supervise and lead project teams, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and prepare regular progress reports for clients and management.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project issues, risks, and conflicts to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Job Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience working as a Project Coordinator or a year or two as a Project Manager
  • Experience working on industrial and commercial projects
  • Experience managing projects and budgets within $250K - $10M
  • Estimating experience a strong asset

Compensation
  • $90,000 - $120,000
  • 3 weeks vacation
