About Our Client
Our client is a leading Western Canadian construction firm with over 70 years of experience delivering complex infrastructure and heavy civil projects across B.C. and Alberta. Their expertise spans excavation, deep foundations, shoring, demolition, and industrial site prep — often self-performing on high-risk, technically demanding scopes.

About The Position
  • Oversee department standards for deliverables such as bid packages, deliverable formats, and budget tracking tools. 
  • Prepare timely and accurate bid estimates through quantity take-offs using estimating software, spreadsheet software, hand calculations, etc. 
  • Assist with determining which jobs to put through the bid process and which jobs to pass up due to the current circumstances of the company, marketplace, and economic conditions. 
  • Assigns responsibilities for estimating team on each project. 
  • Reviews project plans and specifications and coordinates with the team to confirm complete scope. 
  • Identify risk issues and their order of magnitude. 
  • Prepares instructions to bidders, bid form, and other bid solicitation information. 
  • Ensures the flow of project information is maintained and documented. 
The Requirements

  • 5+ years of estimating experience. 
  • Successful estimating portfolio
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with experience in Heavy Bid software an asset. 
  • Post secondary degree, diploma, and/or equivalent related work experience. 
  • Valid BC driver’s license
Compensation

  • Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 DOE
