Our client is a highly respected and growing mining organization based in Saskatoon, SK. Known for its collaborative culture and strong reputation within the industry, the company’s team is hardworking, supportive, and committed to operational excellence. As the organization continues to expand, they are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team on a 3–6 month contract to assist during a period of increased activity.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Clerk will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and expense reports. This position requires strong attention to detail, sound problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Utilize the three-way matching process to ensure accuracy of payments within the ERP system.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and payments.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with business managers and external vendors to support efficient payment processes.
  • Support month-end accruals and assist with account reconciliations as required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in streamlining payables procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure department goals and deadlines are met.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in an accounts payable or accounting support role.
  • Experience working within an ERP environment (SAP or Pronto considered an asset).
  • Strong understanding of the month-end accrual process.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong business communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting principles.
