Aplin is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a temporary assignment to support our clients accounting for an immediate long term temporary position. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, experience with invoicing, and a knack for ensuring numbers reconcile accurately across systems and working papers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process intercompany invoicing accurately and on schedule

  • Prepare and maintain working papers, gathering supporting documentation and ensuring all figures reconcile to recorded amounts

  • Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of accounts and resolve discrepancies

  • Use Excel tools (including pivot tables and lookups) to manage and analyze financial data

  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all accounting activities and reports
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience as an Accounting Clerk or invoicing roles
    Post-secondary education in Accounting is an asset 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis)

  • Solid understanding of account reconciliations and working paper preparation

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience reconciling accounts and validating data accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

  • Criminal record check is required
