About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to support two high-performing lawyers in a fast-paced litigation practice. You’ll be joining a professional, supportive team where initiative, confidence, and strong organizational skills are highly valued.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is proactive in managing their workload, and is comfortable handling the demands of a busy litigation desk. The role offers excellent exposure to complex litigation matters and the chance to be part of a firm that invests in both the professional and personal growth of its team.
About the Position
The successful candidate will work closely with two lawyers supporting their litigation practice. You’ll be responsible for preparing legal documents, coordinating schedules and court bookings, managing files, and ensuring timely billing and communication with clients. The position reports directly to the lawyers supported and works in close coordination with other team members in the litigation department.
This role requires full-time in-office attendance during the probationary period with the option to work from home one day per week thereafter.

Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and transcribing legal correspondence and litigation documents
- Coordinating and booking mediations, discoveries, trials, and client meetings
- Managing and organizing legal files (open and closed), including bring-forward systems
- Preparing and following up on monthly and quarterly billing statements
- Maintaining filing systems and document management protocols
- Supporting lawyers with other administrative and legal tasks as required
The Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate (LAA Cert) from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with Elite 3E software
- Familiarity with BC Supreme Court procedures and trial preparation
- Prior experience supporting multiple legal professionals in a busy litigation practice
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $60,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience.
