This key position plays a vital role in developing and executing procurement strategies that align with business goals. The successful candidate will anticipate demand, manage inventory, and mitigate supply risk all while maintaining strong supplier partnerships and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing and procurement plans aligned with company objectives
- Forecast production requirements and model costs to ensure optimal inventory levels
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through alternative sourcing or materials
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve best value and reliability
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships; evaluate performance and onboard new suppliers as needed
- Manage raw material and roll stock inventories, ensuring accuracy and timely replenishment
- Ensure compliance with import/export and cross-border regulations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier data
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to management
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education or professional designation in Business or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior purchasing or strategic sourcing role within a manufacturing
- Strong forecasting, cost modeling, and analytical skills
- Proven negotiation and vendor management experience
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on results and collaboration
