Personal Lines Underwriter

Our client is a well-established Managing General Agency (MGA) based in British Columbia, with a strong presence across Canada. Specializing in a wide range of coverage, including commercial, marine, auto, and personal lines, they are committed to providing comprehensive insurance solutions. To support their growth, they are looking to expand their personal lines underwriting team and are seeking motivated candidates who are eager to develop their careers in the MGA space.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite complex personal insurance policies, including vacation homes, rental properties (condos, dwellings), and other high-net-worth exposures.
  
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, ensuring continued growth and success of the personal lines business.
  
  
• Respond to broker and agent inquiries, providing expert advice and support in a timely manner.
  
  
• Manage the renewal process for personal lines policies, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal lines underwriting. (MGA experience not necessary)
  
  
• A strong desire for career growth, and adaptability, and a quick learner.
  
  
• Willingness to work towards completing the CIP designation.
