About the Role
The Junior Accountant will support the finance team with both general accounting tasks and property management accounting. This role is designed for someone who is detail-oriented, motivated, and eager to grow their accounting career. You will gain hands-on exposure to full-cycle property accounting, financial reporting, and budget preparation while also assisting with special projects and cross-functional tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of office and retail properties
  • Maintain accounting records, post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare trial balances
  • Assist with bank reconciliations, cash management, and general ledger maintenance
  • Support annual budget preparation and year-end recoveries
  • Contribute to consolidated financial statements and year-end reporting
  • Provide assistance to AP/AR functions and intercompany reconciliations
  • Compile and format financial data in Excel to support reporting and process improvements
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and additional duties as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting (required)
  • 1–2 years of full-cycle accounting experience (required)
  • Strong analytical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Yardi Voyager experience an asset
  • Previous real estate industry exposure is considered an asset
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
Compensation
  • $50,000-$65,000 + Adhoc Bonus
