We are seeking an experienced Insurance Litigation Law Clerk to join a reputable and growing law firm located in Downtown Toronto. About The Opportunity
The successful candidate will work closely with a team of accomplished lawyers and clerks on complex insurance defence files. This position offers the chance to take ownership of files, work on high-value, sophisticated litigation matters, and contribute meaningfully to a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, draft, and manage litigation documents including pleadings, affidavits of documents, motion records, and trial briefs.
  • Organize and manage large volumes of documents, including productions and medical records.
  • Handle file management from initial intake through to trial preparation and resolution.
  • Coordinate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court staff to support litigation processes.
  • Manage deadlines and maintain limitation dates.
  • Assist with trial and hearing preparations, including compiling evidence and creating document briefs. 
The Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Law Clerk in insurance defence or civil litigation
  • Completion of a Law Clerk diploma or certificate from a recognized program
  • Proficiency in litigation support tools such as ACL, Primafact, or similar software
  • Strong working knowledge of court rules, civil procedures, and insurance litigation processes
  • Exceptional drafting and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Experience handling large volumes of documents, productions, and medical records
