• Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 annually
• Please note, this role will be fully in-office at the client’s Calgary, Alberta office

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support the Controller with quarterly consolidation and annual budgeting processes
• Oversee core accounting processes including bank reconciliations, corporate card reconciliations, and GST/HST returns
• Partner with the Controller and Senior Manager, Accounting on special projects and strategic initiatives
• Provide guidance and recommendations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
• Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems

Qualifications

• CPA designation or actively working toward completion
• Minimum 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ASPE standards
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP an asset
• Background in hospitality or retail accounting strongly preferred
• Experience in complex organizations, ideally within Indigenous organizations or Northern environments, considered an asset
• Strong adaptability, problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
