Senior Analyst Contractor

Join a top employer and advance your career! Aplin has partnered with a Richmond Hill, ON-based client to hire a Senior Accounting Analyst to support their commercial financing team. This will be a 6-month contract with potential for extension.

Responsibilities:

• Support the accounting team with month-end close processes
• Prepare and review daily and monthly journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial integrity
• Analyze financial statements monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date, comparing to prior periods and budget
• Provide management analysis to guide operational and finance leaders
• Support payment processes to meet client financing needs
• Assist with external audit information requests as required
• Uphold internal controls and finance policies
• Flexibly support other finance areas as needed

Qualifications:

• CPA designation required
• Must have 5+ years of experience with close accounting processes, payment operations, and internal controls
• Comfortable working with IFRS
• Intermediate Excel skills; SAP experience is an asset
• Previous financial services or banking experience preferred
