  • Please note, this will be fully on-site role at the client’s Mississauga, ON location.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours a week)
Responsibilities
  • Process full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for 500–600 employees across multiple sites (hourly, salary, and unionized staff)
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance with provincial regulations, and timely submissions for WSIB, EHT, T4s, and other statutory requirements
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain and update Payroll/HRIS (ADP WorkForce Now) with current employee data
  • Conduct regular payroll audits and reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain payroll SOPs and process guidelines
  • Partner with leadership to identify process improvements in payroll and time & attendance systems
  • Administer pension and benefits plans, including enrolments, changes, terminations, and monthly reconciliations
  • Liaise with benefits provider to manage renewals, premiums, and benefit queries
  • Administer STD and LTD programs in accordance with policy
  • Provide employees with letters and verification documents upon request
  • Occasionally travel to Oakville and Brantford sites as needed
Qualifications
  • 3 + years of full-cycle Canadian payroll experience in a manufacturing or high-volume, multi-site environment
  • Union payroll experience is required
  • Proficiency in ADP WorkForce Now and strong Excel skills
  • PCP designation (completed or in progress) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
