- Collaborative Culture: You’ll initially work under the mentorship of a Partner, before transitioning to manage your own client matters. Areas of Practice:
This role is ideal for a well-rounded L&E lawyer with experience (or interest) in working across all facets of workplace law, including but not limited to:- Labour relations (collective bargaining, grievance and interest arbitration, union certification/decertification, Labour Board representation)
- Employment law (contracts, policies, standards, discipline, discharge, wrongful dismissal, civil litigation)
- Workplace compliance & investigations (human rights, occupational health & safety, workplace safety & insurance, pay equity, privacy/data breaches)
- Attendance management, disability, and benefits (attendance programs, disability management, pensions, employee benefits)
- Organizational change (corporate restructuring, employment issues in M&A)
Qualifications:- 3–5 years of post-call experience in labour, employment, or workplace law.
- Experience in both solicitor-side advisory and litigation/dispute resolution work is an asset.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple files and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Salary: Competitive, in line with other boutique L&E firms in the GTA (commensurate with experience). Wide range, due to range of experience $130,000 - $200,000.
- Billable Target: 1600 hours (informally tracked).
- Vacation: 4 weeks.
