Join a High-Impact Team Supporting Workplace Health and Safety! Our client, a public sector organization recognized for its commitment to employee well-being and operational excellence, is seeking a WSIB Specialist to join their wellness and disability management team.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a structured environment, meaningful work, and the opportunity to play a key role in supporting employees through workplace injury claims and recovery processes.

  • Competitive salary ranging from $80,000-$89,000
  • Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm (40 hours/week)

 Responsibilities
  • Administer, track, and manage occupational and non-occupational claims with a strong focus on WSIB (Schedule 2)
  • Liaise with WSIB, insurance providers, and other third-party stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claim handling
  • Support return-to-work processes in collaboration with internal medical staff
  • Analyze and report on claim data, trends, and success metrics for leadership teams
  • Maintain the integrity of internal tracking systems (e.g., Parklane), prepare documentation for appeals/tribunals, and ensure policy compliance
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for internal staff and leaders on WSIB processes and reporting requirements
  • Partner with payroll and finance teams to coordinate payments and reconcile cost tracking
  • Contribute to training, continuous improvement initiatives, and other special projects within the Member Wellness, Engagement and Support Unit
 Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 2 years of direct experience in WSIB administration (Schedule 2 experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of WSIB policies, legislation, and claim management procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work tactfully across all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized with strong analytical thinking and report writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive situations with professionalism
  • CHRP or CHRL designation is considered an asset
  • Experience working in high-pressure, regulated environments such as policing, healthcare, or emergency services is highly valued
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
