About the Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to join our clients' Real Estate & Development practice in Vernon or Kelowna. As a conveyancer, you'll collaborate with experienced litigators, corporate lawyers, and real estate experts to support a broad portfolio of residential, commercial, and development transactions.

About the Position

Reporting to senior counsel and working closely with a diverse legal team, you'll be the key liaison between clients, lenders, realtors, and internal stakeholders - ensuring smooth, compliant, and timely transactions from start to close.

The Responsibilities
  • Review and prepare contracts, deeds, mortgages, leases, and related documentation
  • Conduct thorough title searches, strata and municipal searches, and due diligence
  • Liaise with clients, lenders, realtors, municipal offices, and other legal teams
  • Coordinate settlements, including trust accounting and transfer of funds
  • Provide clear, tailored advice on conveyancing matters to clients and internal partners
  • Monitor and stay current with changes in BC real estate legislation, land titles, and strata regulations
  • Maintain meticulous transaction files, ensuring compliance and audit-readiness
The Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a conveyancer, ideally in BC real estate practice
  • Comprehensive understanding of BC Land Title Act, Strata Property Act, and land registry procedures
  • High attention to detail and ability to spot title issues and documentation gaps
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at managing multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a busy legal setting
  • Proficiency with conveyancing software (e.g. PPR, LFN, or similar platforms)
  • Commitment to professional development and keeping abreast of regulatory changes
Compensation
  • Salary $55,000 - $65,000 DOE
  • 3 weeks vacation
  • Opportunity to work with strong real estate lawyers
