Job Title: Internal IT Controls Risk Analyst
Location: Calgary /Edmonton (On-site)
Type: Full-time, 5 days/week
Contract Length: 3 to 9 months (with potential to convert to permanent)
Pay Rate: $70+ per/hr
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role
Our client  is seeking an IT Control Risk Analyst to join their dynamic internal controls and risk management team. This role is ideally suited for candidates with a background in accounting or finance who have experience in IT General Controls (ITGC) testing, business process controls, and risk mitigation related to financial reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal IT controls, supporting accurate financial reporting, and mitigating organizational risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform testing of internal IT controls, including general IT controls and application controls.
  • Evaluate and document control design and operating effectiveness.
  • Support the internal audit team with control testing, documentation, and walkthroughs.
  • Work closely with the finance and risk teams, particularly in relation to CSA 52109
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for control improvements.
  • Assist with the implementation or enhancement of controls in Oracle.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation exists where formal policies may be limited.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand processes and identify control gaps.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in internal IT controls, risk, or audit .
  • Understanding of financial reporting and related IT controls.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle systems or any other related IT systems .
  • Exposure to CSA 52109 or similar regulatory frameworks.
  • Background can include: public practice, corporate internal audit, international experience, or any industry.
  • Exposure to public company environments is an asset.
  • SOX-specific experience not required.
  • Additional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) are an asset.
