The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of relevant experience and will be responsible for expanding and overseeing a high-performing, independent commercial finance business focused on the transportation carrier sector. This role involves shaping the strategic direction, managing key relationships, and driving strong financial performance while ensuring operational excellence.

About the Position
Reporting to the CEO, the SVP, Equipment Finance will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing equipment finance team.
- Set and manage performance targets, ensuring team accountability and results.
- Build and execute sales strategies focused on transportation carrier clients.
- Drive business development and identify new financing opportunities across North America.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, owner-operators, and industry partners.
- Oversee asset management, including inventory, reconditioning, and resale of trucks.
- Manage the full lifecycle of lease and loan transactions, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Monitor financial performance and adjust strategies to meet growth and profitability goals.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline approvals and funding processes.
- Ensure adherence to internal risk policies, industry regulations, and audit standards.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience working in equipment leasing and financing.
- 5+ years of leadership experience.
- In-depth knowledge of capital equipment financing structures and lifecycle management.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field (MBA is a strong asset)
Compensation
- Salary: 150,00 to 170,000
- Discretionary bonus
- Extended health and dental
- 4 weeks’ vacation
