About The Position
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll across both Canadian and U.S. offices. You will serve as a subject matter expert on payroll matters, contribute to process improvements, and ensure all payroll-related activities are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.

About The Position
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll across both Canadian and U.S. offices. You will serve as a subject matter expert on payroll matters, contribute to process improvements, and ensure all payroll-related activities are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
The Responsibilities
- Administer full-cycle biweekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll for multiple jurisdictions (Canada and U.S.)
- Serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related inquiries
- Manage payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, promotions, and salary adjustments
- Conduct regular audits of payroll runs to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts
- Balance and remit statutory withholdings and contributions (e.g., retirement plans, HSA, wage garnishments, United Way)
- Issue Records of Employment (ROEs) and year-end tax documents (T4s and W2s)
- Assist in identifying inefficiencies and implementing payroll process improvements
- Generate payroll reports using UKG Pro and Business Intelligence (BI) tools
- Support internal and external audits
- PCP designation from the National Payroll Institute (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of payroll administration experience
- Experience with UKG Pro is considered a strong asset
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable attitude
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
