This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager who is looking for a new challenge!

ABOUT THE CLIENT
We're partnered with an established investment and storage company that has been in business for over 10 years. They're currently looking to add an experienced Accounting Manager to their team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the controller, the accounting manager will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Oversee full cycle accounting, ensuring all financial activities are completed accurately.
  • Update actual profit and loss figures to support reliable financial insights and operational decisions.
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations and oversee credit card reconciliations.
  • Create and maintain loan amortization schedules to track both principal and interest components.
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany balances, including loans and cross-entity transactions.
  • Calculate and allocate management fees and interest charges appropriately across related entities.
  • Verify investor distributions, ensuring they align with contractual obligations and current financial performance.
  • Supervise payroll processes and manage employee benefit administration.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with WorkSafe BC and Employer Health Tax (EHT) requirements.
  • Support the Controller in compiling financial statements and preparing reporting packages for banking institutions.
  • Maintain detailed month-end checklists to facilitate consistent and efficient closing processes.
  • Prepare and submit GST returns in compliance with government timelines and oversee G/L reviews
REQUIREMENTS
  • Designated or pursuing CPA
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Prior experience in a multi-entity or intercompany environment
  • 5 days in office role. 
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Salary: $90,000 to $110,000
  • 3 weeks’ vacation
  • Extended health and dental benefits
