Employee & Labour Relations Advisor

Aplin has partnered with Mississauga, ON-based organization, to hire an Employee & Labour Relations Advisor. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

Benefits & Perks:

• Compensation: $60,000 to $75,000 base salary + 10% annual bonus potential
• Please note, this role is Hybrid (3 days/week onsite – Tuesdays plus two additional days at the client’s Mississauga, ON office)
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Vacation: 3 weeks to start, plus comprehensive health and dental benefits

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate key Employee and Labour Relations programs such as lay-off/recall, probation reviews, check-ins, and attendance management
• Draft and administer letters, reports, presentations, and internal communications
• Monitor and respond to shared mailboxes and support contract/vendor management
• Track and analyze ER/LR data, trends, and case metrics using tools like UKG and Power BI
• Support workplace investigations by drafting questions, documentation, and assisting in briefings
• Assist in developing and updating policies and procedures in collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Legal Services
• Contribute to grievance, arbitration, and negotiation preparation and follow-up
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and content creation for organizational learning

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of HR administrative experience in a unionized, customer-centric environment
• Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis and reporting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with UKG and Power BI is a strong asset
• CHRP designation in progress and experience in policy development are considered assets
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
