We are seeking a resourceful and confident Junior Property Accountant for an exciting temporary assignment. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a manual, process-driven environment and can step in to help streamline daily accounting and operational tasks. The position is fully in-office and offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing business in the midst of a system implementation. For a candidate with the right experience and initiative, this role has the potential to evolve into a permanent position.

Responsibilities:
- Process and manage bi-weekly check runs (approximately 100–150 checks) for 20 properties, including the mid-month and end-of-month payment cycles.
- Maintain and route invoices using manual systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all assigned properties.
- Support and review A/P coding performed by Property Managers, with the opportunity to assume responsibility for this area during the assignment.
- Maintain meticulous records and adhere to established accounting policies and procedures.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks and help drive improvements to manual processes and workflow pipelines.
- Assist the team with other general accounting and administrative duties as required.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and experience in an accounts payable or property accounting role.
- Willingness and ability to work in a manual, paper-based environment and manage a high volume of transactions.
- Self-motivated, assertive, and comfortable taking initiative to move tasks forward and resolve issues.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Clear, confident communication and the ability to work collaboratively with an easygoing team.
- Proficiency in common accounting and office software.
- Ability to work standard office hours and commit to an in-office position.
