A Canadian national law firm in Calgary is looking for a talented and hard working associate to join their labour & employment practice group. This is an excellent opportunity to directly work on complex labour & employment matters alongside seasoned partners in a tight knit and collaborative team.

The incumbent lawyer will have the opportunity to work independently on both complex labour & employment matters on the side of the employer, while also supporting the partners and other members of the team on larger matters. The work will involve but not be limited to collective bargaining matters, employment offers and agreements, wrongful dismissals, discrimination, human right violations, and workplace harassment. There would be a substantial amount of work ready for the incoming lawyer, so strong file management skills will be a strong asset.

Qualifications
- Be called to the Alberta Bar and be in good standing
- 2+ years of post-call experience. A strong background with labour & employment law is highly preferred
- Be comfortable with a soft billable target of 1800
