Our client, a respected real estate development firm, is seeking a Corporate Accountant to support the operational accounting and financial reporting needs across a group of corporate and development entities. This position will report directly to the Corporate Controller and will offer exposure to multiple areas of the business, including GL accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance support.

Compensation:
- $70,000-$75,000

- Prepare and post journal entries, general ledger adjustments, deposits, and intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, GL account reconciliations, and intercompany balance reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of working papers and note disclosures for quarterly and year-end financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
- Process recurring journal entries and support corporate payment reviews, including ACH, EFT, and cheque runs.
- Review and approve invoices in the online workflow system; manage coding, GL accuracy, and documentation for corporate credit cards and employee expenses.
- Support invoice billing, chargebacks, and internal allocations for Canadian and U.S. operations.
- Liaise with auditors and cross-functional teams (AP, construction, property management) to ensure the accuracy and consistency of accounting records.
- Assist with the preparation of GST and B&O reconciliations and filings.
- Contribute to the renewal of business licenses and completion of compliance-related filings and surveys.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and represent the company brand with integrity.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and ongoing improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
- Completed bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting or a related field (required).
- 2–4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting (required); experience in real estate or a multi-entity environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience using Yardi Voyager (strongly preferred); proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is required.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
