Manager, Fund Accounting – Hedge Funds

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of financial statements and NAV calculations for hedge fund clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Serve as a primary contact for clients, delivering monthly financial packages and resolving inquiries promptly
• Supervise and support fund accountants in meeting deliverables and quality standards
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for efficient fund operations
• Participate in new fund launches and assist with client onboarding activities
• Drive process improvements to enhance fund accounting and reporting workflows
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and internal policies
• Engage in strategic projects and cross-departmental initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in fund accounting, with strong exposure to hedge funds and derivative instruments
• Prior experience managing a team (5+ members) and reviewing accounting deliverables
• Professional designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA, or CFA) is an asset
• Strong technical and analytical abilities with advanced Excel skills
• Proven track record of working independently and handling client-facing responsibilities
• Tech-savvy, solutions-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
