Associate Lawyer – Labour & Employment

Our client, a well-regarded boutique law firm based in London, Ontario, is seeking a skilled and driven Employment Lawyer to join its growing team. This firm offers a collegial environment, high-quality work, and strong mentorship from experienced practitioners. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with employer clients on a wide range of employment law matters, with a particular emphasis on litigation and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Representing employers in employment law matters, including wrongful dismissal, human rights claims, and employment standards issues.
  
  
• Managing a litigation-focused practice, including drafting pleadings, conducting discoveries, arguing motions, and attending hearings and mediations.
  
  
• Advising clients on employment contracts, workplace policies, terminations, and risk management.
  
  
• Participating in business development and contributing to the growth of the firm’s employment law practice.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of post-call experience, ideally with a focus on employment law and litigation.
  
  
• Strong advocacy and litigation skills, with confidence managing files independently and appearing before courts and tribunals.
  
  
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  
  
• Experience in other areas of civil litigation may be considered for more senior candidates.
  
  
• Called to the Bar in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
