This full-time, field-based role plays a key part in supporting the Superintendent by overseeing daily site operations and coordinating project activities across a range of construction environments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced in guiding field teams to ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Superintendent in managing day-to-day site activities across various construction projects.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, site staff, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project progress.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections to maintain compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure work meets quality expectations, building codes, and project specifications.
- Identify and resolve on-site challenges such as delays, material shortages, or team coordination issues.
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of tools, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs and safety records.
- Communicate project updates, challenges, and progress to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Mentor and guide on-site personnel to promote quality workmanship and adherence to safety procedures.
- 3–5 years of construction experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, safety standards, and building codes.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and working with a variety of trades.
- Proficiency with computers and digital tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
- Certifications: CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 (required); First Aid, Fall Protection, or other safety certifications (asset).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects across Alberta and Western Canada is an asset.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective at organizing schedules, resources, and workflow to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ability to train and mentor apprentices and junior team members.
- Skilled in resolving issues proactively to maintain project momentum.
- Commitment to enforcing and upholding safety standards.
- Capable of collaborating effectively with multiple trades and project partners.
- Work is primarily on-site in a variety of outdoor and indoor environments, including exposure to changing weather conditions.
- Requires physical activity such as walking, standing, and lifting.
- Occasional travel between job sites, with some out-of-town work.
- Flexible schedule depending on project needs; may include overtime.
- Hourly rate: $33 to $38 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Vacation pay: 6% paid on each paycheque
