Pleasure craft Marine Underwriter

Notre client, une agence générale nationale, recherche un(e) souscripteur(euse) adjoint(e) pour rejoindre son équipe de Laval, au Québec, et soutenir ses opérations clients actuelles ! Il s'agit d'une opportunité rare pour une personne ayant déjà travaillé en assurance de bateaux et d'embarcations de plaisance. Vous travaillerez à domicile (mais devrez vous rendre au bureau de Laval de temps à autre pour rencontrer les clients).

Rémunération / avantages et horaire:

• Salaire selon expérience et compétence
• Horaire de travail sur semaine de 9 à 5, pour 37.5/semaine
• Vacances : 3 semaines de vacances ; 2 congés personnels /année; 5 congés de maladie /année

• UFC et maintien de permis AMF payée par l’employeur

Responsibilities

• Offrir un service à la clientèle de qualité
• Gérer les renouvellements de polices, les nouvelles affaires, la facturation et les collections
• Effectuer l’entrée des données (lors des périodes moins occupées) et traitements des documents
• Gestion des courriels et des appels
• Collaborer avec plusieurs départements (comptabilité, marketing, vente et réclamations)
• Participer aux congrès et aux représentations requis par l’industrie au besoin (congrès, salon des bateaux, etc.).

Qualifications

• Posséder un permis de courtier en assurances de dommages  des particuliers auprès de l’AMF; Permis de l’Ontario en Atout
• Bilinguisme, oral et écrit (français/anglais) [Requis]
• Connaissance d’Applied Epic [Atout]

Attention all experienced professionals in pleasure craft and marine insurance! Our client, a national general agency, is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to join their team in Laval, Quebec, and support their current client operations! This is a rare opportunity for someone with experience in pleasure boat and watercraft insurance. You will work from home but will be required to occasionally go to the Laval office to meet with clients.

Compensation / Benefits and Schedule:

• Salary based on experience and skills
• Weekday work schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM (37.5 hours per week)
• Vacation: 3 weeks vacation; 2 personal days per year; 5 sick days per year
• Group insurance (including drug, dental, vision, and life insurance)
• Employer-contributed group RRSP after 3 months of continuous employment
• Continuing education (UFC) and AMF license maintenance paid by employer
• Work equipment provided by employer
• Full-time remote work possible

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service
• Manage policy renewals, new business, billing, and collections
• Perform data entry (during less busy periods) and document processing
• Manage emails and phone calls
• Collaborate with various departments (accounting, marketing, sales, and claims)
• Participate in industry events and representation as needed (e.g., conventions, boat shows, etc.)

Qualifications

• Hold a personal lines damage insurance broker license from the AMF; Ontario license is an asset
• Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written [Required]
• Knowledge of Applied Epic software [Asset]
