Accountant

Stacey Danley at Aplin has partnered with our downtown client in the search for an Accountant. Joining a tenured team of accounting professionals is a fantastic opportunity for an accounting graduate to gain hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of month-end and year-end journal entries
• Financial statement preparation and analysis
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
• Preparation of year-end audit files
• Ad hoc reporting as required

Qualifications:

• Accounting diploma or degree
• 2 years of accounting experience including balance sheet reconciliation and P&L variance analysis
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Mathematical acumen with an ability to investigate discrepancies

Please note this is a full-time permanent in-office role. Ideal hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4 pm.
