Packaging Specialist

If you're a skilled and experienced Packaging Specialist looking to take the next step in your career, Aplin has an exciting opportunity for you. Our client, a respected leader in their industry, has partnered with us to grow their team in Kingsville, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the full packaging specification process, including packaging design, prototype development, and performance testing.
• Lead and support Quality and Regulatory remediation projects related to packaging.
• Identify and implement packaging cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and procurement teams on new packaging equipment selection, including user requirement specifications, factory acceptance testing, and equipment validation.
• Manage the change control process by creating, maintaining, and updating packaging specifications and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with packaging quality and regulatory standards through regular interaction with project teams, growers, facilities, and vendors.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the Packaging department.
• Prepare regular progress reports and travel as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a fast-paced environment; experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or production is considered an asset.
