M&A Due Diligence Contractor

Our client is looking for an M&A Due Diligence Contractor who will assist with assessing potential acquisition targets through detailed financial analysis, operational review, and risk identification. This individual will work alongside the external advisory firm and play a key role in ensuring that acquisitions align with our client’s strategic, financial, and operational objectives.  This role is part time (and will have some lumpiness to it) and can be done remotely. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive financial and operational due diligence on potential acquisition targets.
• Review financial statements, tax returns, customer/supplier contracts, legal documents, and operational data.
• Work closely with internal teams (finance, operations, legal) and external advisors (legal counsel, accounting firm) to coordinate the diligence process.
• Prepare clear and concise diligence reports, highlighting key findings, risks, and opportunities.
• Review financial models and valuation analyses.
• Assist in post-close integration planning and tracking of key diligence items.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is an asset.
• relevant experience in transaction advisory, corporate development, investment banking, or audit with exposure to M&A is an asset
• Strong financial analysis and accounting skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings
