Gas Bar Manager

Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin have partnered with our growing client to hire a Gas Bar Manager for their Kenora location starting as soon as possible. If you are available for work immediately we want to hear from you!

We are seeking a hands-on individual who is committed to service and has the required leadership skills to lead their front-line staff. 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a healthy and safe work environment for our staff and members.
• Be a brand ambassador for the organization.
• Apply industry leading standards in category management and merchandising.
• Lead the teams to provide world class customer service.
• Communicate with our Environmental Supervisor to ensure compliance with all legal and environmental requirements
• Achieve financial results and budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses and profits.
• Ensure standards of the Gas Bar are met, including a high level of daily paperwork, such as cash summaries, customer service, cleanliness, inventory control, rotation, and ordering.
• Provide leadership and direction to employees in accordance with company policies, procedures, programs, and overall expectations;
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in managing a high-paced retail business, preferably in a gas bar and/or car wash environment.
• Excellent communication / interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
• A full commitment to building effective teams.
• An aptitude for marketing, leadership, bookkeeping, maintaining image standards, human resources, and strong merchandising techniques.
• A firm, yet friendly and sociable personality.
• A natural affinity of welcoming our members to the site, while embracing an inclusive environment for our employees.
• A strong understanding of computer applications, especially Microsoft Office.
• An ability to work well with others.
• You will have a class 5 license and access to a reliable vehicle as travel between sites will be necessary.
• Criminal record check is required.
