Cashiers – Kenora, ON

Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin have partnered with our client to hire 10 Cashiers to provide excellent Customer Service to their new Kenora, ON location.

• This role can be for the summer or longer we are flexible 
• Can be part time or full time hours

• $23.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class customer service that is fast, friendly and efficient.
• Educate customers and staff on the benefits of membership and encourage them to join.
• Ensure the store is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
• Run fuel pumps and fill fuel tanks of vehicles with gasoline or diesel fuel to particular levels.
• Assist customers with propane filling and exchanges.
• Wash windshields and check fluid levels.
• Operate a cash register, take payment from customers and provide change. 
• Follow all legal requirements regarding the sale of lottery and tobacco products.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure department image and safety standards are followed. Ensure sanitation and cleanliness standards are to specifications, including cleaning of all equipment and display cases. 
• Observe safety measures and report hazardous conditions immediately to the Gas Bar Manager.
• Follow safe front-line loss prevention practices and maintain a constant alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise or fuel from the site.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or retail experience is an asset, but not required—we’ll train the right candidate.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable attitude and commitment to delivering excellent service.
• Basic math and cash handling skills; experience operating a point-of-sale system is an asset.
• Willingness to learn and follow procedures.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work a variety of shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Team-oriented with a positive, can-do mindset and the ability to work independently when needed.
• Available for an immediate opportunity in Kenora.
