Hospitality Team Lead Underwriter

Our client is an established Canadian MGA, operating coast to coast. They offer a wide range of services in specialty, niche and some program needs. 
They are looking for an experienced Hospitality Underwriter to join their team and manage a team of underwriters while conducting hand on underwriting of the files. 
This is a full-remote role in Canada. 

Responsibilities

• Delegating the hospitality files to a team of underwriters 
• Setting new business targets and supporting underwriters to achieve their targets 
• Manage a book of business, handle complex files and ensure the profitability of the portfolio 
• Be the subject matter expert for hospitality 
• Coach and provide market insights to brokers 
• Negotiating the coverage and premium rates with clients

Qualifications

• 5 plus years of commercial line underwriting experience in hospitality
• 3 years of mentoring and coaching experience 

• CIP, FCIP or CRM preferable
