What You'll Be Doing
- Translate initial ideas, calculations, and sketches from engineers into clear, complete 3D models and technical drawings.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and product managers to ensure designs meet technical and practical requirements.
- Annotate and verify design specifications using CAD tools (SolidWorks and AutoCAD).
- Work with manufacturing, estimating, and supply chain teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of all drawings and BOMs before release.
- Support the engineering team by creating models and drawings on deadline, using various methods to ensure thorough, production-ready deliverables.
- Contribute to the ongoing effort to standardize and unify our design documentation processes—your input and ideas are welcome.
What You Bring to the Team
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Drafting.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (AutoCAD experience is a bonus).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including welding, fabrication, and power transmission design.
- Experience in transforming raw steel into high-quality finished equipment (machining, cutting, shearing, welding, painting, assembly).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and customer specifications with precision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
- Strong mechanical aptitude—hands-on experience is highly valued.
- Clear communicator with solid writing and verbal skills.
