Stacey Danley at Aplin has partnered with our downtown Winnipeg client on the search for a Corporate Paralegal. This in-house role will support the General Counsel with a large range of project-related legal matters. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced paralegal to join a highly collaborative legal team.

Responsibilities:
- Overseeing corporate regulatory filings and maintaining corporate records, including minute books, material agreements, organizational charts, and ownership registries.
- Managing legal aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisition and disposition of properties, coordination with external counsel, and preparation of closing documents and lease agreements.
- Leading compliance initiatives related to privacy and anti-spam legislation.
- Providing analysis and draft responses to Freedom of Information requests in alignment with statutory obligations.
- Supporting a range of legal matters and projects, including contract management, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and licensing.
- Contributing to financial oversight by preparing accrual reports, assisting with departmental budgeting, and developing forecasting worksheets.
- Delivering administrative support for the Legal Department, including meeting coordination, correspondence, records management, and other assigned tasks.
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in legal administration
- A minimum of 5 years of corporate law experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
- A strong understanding of corporate procedures and documents
- A proven ability to work autonomously with strong time management prioritization skills
- A high-level of proficiency with MS Office and contract management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
